An Introduction

Welcome to the new Ophthalmic Imaging Association (OIA) Home Page. Previously we were known as the British Ophthalmic Photographic Association (BOPA).

In recent years, after careful consideration and debate we have changed our name to better reflect the changing nature of the skills that our members are using.

The OIA will be here to help its members and and other professionals meet the challenges

The last 21 years have seen enormous change in the technology employed in ophthalmic imaging and the practice of ophthalmology in general. One thing we can be certain of is that the next 21 years will see more technological advance, innovation and change in working practice.

The OIA will be here to help its members and and other professionals meet the challenges. Losing "British" from our name is deliberate because we welcome members from any country. Knowledge, education, research and ideas in ophthalmology are international and we have much to learn from each other.

The Old Site

This site has just been released for initial feedback and is being updated with content. Some of this content is to be migrated from the old site.
